Connelly, Jackson and Collier 2011 Best Lawyers

The Toledo Junior Bar Association, at its annual Gridiron Show, presents the Order of the Heel.  The recipient is a senior member of the Bar who has given most unselfishly of his or her time, talents, and energies to assist young lawyers.  The Junior Bar bestows membership in this exclusive order as a sincere tribute to each recipient’s contribution to our legal community.  Reginald S. Reg Jackson 2010 Ohio Bar Medal Recipient

Reginald S. Jackson, Jr. is the 2010 recipient of the Ohio State Bar Association’s highest honor, the Ohio Bar Medal.  Each year, this award is given to an individual who exemplifies unusually meritorious service to the legal profession, to the community and to humanity. 

At the presentation of the award in Dayton at the Annual Convention of the OSBA, President Barbara J. Howard said, “Reg Jackson is the quintessential bar leader and mentor.  He is known for his level-headed, practical approach to issues, and is well regarded no only in Ohio, but across the country.  It is an honor to be able to recognize his many contributions to the profession.”

CJC Attorneys Take Leadership Roles in Bar Committees

CJC is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys will be holding leadership positions with Toledo Bar Association committees during the upcoming year, with four of those attorneys chairing their respective committees.  Steve Smith will chair the Bench Bar Committee, Janine Avila will chair the Committee on Notaries Public, Tim Nackowicz will be the secretary of the Committee on Notaries Public, Adam Nightingale will chair the Young Lawyers Committee, and Mike Bonfiglio will chair the Grievance Committee.  These individuals are continuing CJC’s longstanding tradition of service to the Toledo Bar Association and the needs of the greater-Toledo public.

Tim Nackowicz Continues as Legal Community Softball League Commissioner

CJC attorney Tim Nackowicz has entered his fourth year as commissioner of the Greater Toledo Legal Community Softball League or GTLCSL.  Toledo-area attorneys, as well as law-firm and court employees, are eligible to play.

The GTLCSL traces its roots back to the 1970s, and during the modern era boasts 15 teams who compete in a season of regular fixtures followed by a playoff tournament.  The current GTLCSL champion is the team of McGowan and the Miracles.
